Lake Havasu City Police officers were called to a hotel on the 100 block of London Bridge Road in a bizarre case of disorderly conduct, when a nude man allegedly accosted an employee and assaulted a pizza delivery driver at the location.
According to the police report, the delivery driver was carrying a pizza to the hotel’s second floor when 74-year-old Havasu resident Michael R. Case emerged from his room, nude. According to the driver’s statement to police, Case approached him at the scene, and the delivery driver told Case to return to his room.
Case continued to walk down the hallway, according to the police report, as a female employee of the hotel climbed up the stairs. Case allegedly grabbed the woman's arms, prompting the delivery driver to attempt to separate them. According to police, Case struck the driver with a closed fist in his face before another of the hotel’s guests ultimately pinned Case on the ground as police were called to the scene.
Officers took Case into custody upon their arrival, and transported him to Havasu Regional Medical Center for evaluation. Case reportedly told officers that he had consumed alcohol while golfing earlier in the day, although statements as to how much alcohol he consumed appeared to have been inconsistent, according to the police report.
Case was ultimately booked into custody at Lake Havasu City Jail on misdemeanor charges including assault, disorderly conduct and indecent exposure. After an initial court hearing, Case’s bond was set at $5,000.
As of Monday, Case did not appear to be in custody at the Mohave County Jail.
